California continues to be a hotspot for human trafficking and in particular, sex trafficking. According to the Washington Examiner, since the creation of the National Human Trafficking Hotline, reported cases of human trafficking, much of which includes sex trafficking, have gone up 842 percent. In a shocking graphic, California dominates other states in prevalence of reported human trafficking cases.

What Can Be Done?

We hope our community continues to become more aware and more educated on the realities of local human trafficking. To that end we’ve started providing more resources for our audience so that, together, we can both prevent trafficking, stop it in its tracks, and support survivors in their recovery.

If you are a Guardian, or a part of our monthly-donor community, you can now gain units within our private Guardian Facebook group. We will share educational resources and outreach opportunities for Guardians to grow in their advocacy for survivors. In the future, we will be offering prizes to those who gain certain numbers of units. Stay tuned for that! To learn more about becoming a Guardian visit our Guardian’s page.

Invite Us to Speak

Another resource for our community is the opportunity for one of our team members to present at your community group or church. We have a team of people trained to present on the realities of domestic sex trafficking and how Redeeming Love helps survivors. We would love to share with your network.

If you’re interested in booking one of our presenters, please reach out at or you can fill out our contact form here.
